Two ways to apply

You can obtain a Police Check from Lebanon in one of two ways: apply through the Embassy (Method 1), or grant a Power of Attorney to someone in Lebanon to obtain it for you (Method 2).

Method 1: Apply through the Embassy

The Embassy submits the application to Lebanon on your behalf.

Lebanese applicant

A copy of your Lebanese identification: a Lebanese passport, ID card and/or Individual Civil Status Record (Individual Ikhraj Kayd, بيان قيد إفرادي).

Non-Lebanese applicant

Your current passport, and the passport you held while in Lebanon.

Translation

  • The Police Check is issued in Arabic and must then be translated into English.
  • The translation cost depends on the documents received from Lebanon, so a quote cannot be provided in advance.
  • You may also use a NAATI-accredited translator of your own choosing.

Originals and hard copies

At your appointment, bring all the documents above in original and hard copy.

Method 2: Power of Attorney

Attend the Embassy to grant a Power of Attorney to someone in Lebanon, who will obtain the Police Check for you.

Lebanese applicant

  • A copy of your Lebanese identification: a Lebanese passport, ID card and/or Individual Civil Status Record (Individual Ikhraj Kayd, بيان قيد إفرادي).
  • The details of the person you are appointing in Lebanon: a printed copy of their Lebanese ID (both sides).

Non-Lebanese applicant

Your current passport, along with the details of the person you are appointing in Lebanon.

Authentication in Lebanon

The person obtaining the Police Check in Lebanon must have it authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lebanon before sending it.

Originals and hard copies

At your appointment, bring all the documents above in original and hard copy.
