Applying for a Visa to Lebanon

The procedure to follow to obtain a visa for Lebanon

Australian citizens can get a free 30-day visa on arrival in Lebanon.

Bring the originals and a hard copy of each document to your appointment.

Staying with a friend: a letter from your host confirming this, with a copy of their Lebanese ID card.
Not staying with a friend: details of your temporary accommodation in Lebanon (addresses and contact numbers).

A bank statement for the last three months showing a current available balance of at least $3,000.
A personal cover letter from the applicant stating the reason for travelling to Lebanon, the length of the trip and the place of accommodation.
A letter from your employer stating your job title and period of employment.

Once you have all the documents above, attend the Embassy to proceed with your application.
An application form is completed during your visit and sent with all the documents above.
Some visa applications need prior approval from the authorities in Lebanon. For these, there is no set time frame for an official response.
At your appointment, bring all the documents above in original and hard copy.

If the application is for a person under 18, both parents must attend, and bring their personal identification.
