About this service

The Embassy checks your Lebanese driving documents and issues a confirmation letter, which you can use to obtain an Australian driver’s licence.

Required documents

Please bring the following to your appointment:

1. Letter from the Road Authority in Lebanon

The original letter from the Road Authority in Lebanon, authenticated by the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants.

2. Lebanese driver’s licence

The applicant’s original Lebanese driver’s licence.

3. Lebanese identification

The applicant’s Lebanese identification.

4. Passport

The applicant’s valid Lebanese passport or valid Australian passport.

Original letters only

Only original letters from the Road Authority are accepted. Copies will not be accepted.

How to apply

  1. Book an appointment and visit the Embassy with all the documents above.
  2. The Embassy checks your documents.
  3. Collect your confirmation letter from the Embassy.
