The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced new appointments in the consular corps, naming former Sydney Consul Raymond Chamlati as the Consul General of Lebanon in New South Wales, succeeding former Consul General Charbel Makroun, who was promoted to Ambassador.

Chamlati is well-known among the Lebanese community in Sydney, having maintained a consistent presence at community events and fostering transparent, constructive relationships with all members of the diaspora.

Congratulations to Consul General Raymond Chamlati on his new role.

The Telegraph also reported that the Ministry appointed Tannous Kablani Al-Qabaity as Consul General in Melbourne, replacing former Consul General Rami Khaldi.
